General dating tips:

- Always post a photograph along with your profile. No pets, your favourite niece or group photograph. No exposure of any kind in the photographs. It might be a good idea to post more than one photograph. But too many is not a good idea.

- Write a good profile. Don’t fib and certainly don’t exaggerate.

- If you are not comfortable chatting with somebody just block him/her off. Trust your instincts.

- Do not exchange addresses over the internet.

- Don’t rush into a physical meeting. Take time to get to know as much about the person as possible.

- Don’t let yourself be talked into anything. Remember you are in charge!
